2 guys in a dark blue Chrysler mini van cruising the busy Home Depot Parking Lot at McPhillips & Inkster at 1:30pm Saturday afternoon. Same as others have reported, talked a good talk about how they were Home Theater installers and the supplier unknowingly shipped two units of each in one larger box, meaning the installers had a duplicate set of Rolk Olsen Speaker Package model R-10 MSRP $2,799.00 and Alumen Projector model a-700 MSRP $6,849.00 with a 6' Alumen Projector Screen. All product was in brand new packaging with high end specs listed on the boxes. They said if they went back to the shop with the extra boxes then the boss would claim the overage and keep for himself.

The boxes have the MSRP retail pricing printed right on the packaging so it looks pretty legit... but of course the product is cheap cheap cheap crap... worth maybe $100 to $200 each.

This is a well engineered scam including the high end appearing product packaging and the manufacturer's professional presented website. The manufacturers websites list the same product model numbers including the same MSRP numbers. The scammers have this part of the scam covered as I quickly checked the Internet before I gave them the cash. You don't realize how cheap the product is until you connect it.

If it's too good to be true... well you know... RUN!!!
