To Whom It May Concern,

I need a help in regards to the real estate investing program that I signed-up initially with Insidersedge/PMI in Utah, U.S.A.. I tried to cancel it but been refused of my request. I paid for total of C$17,000.00.
This is the story. Sometimes last March 2011, I received a letter from the mail that came in a small pamphlet with pictures of to be sold houses priced at a very low amount like $10,000.00 more or less They featured Scott Mcgivillary. I came to the one day event on April 29, 2011 for a total of 4 hours session. It was actually not about buying and bidding there but they were trying to tell us about real estate investing training and program. At the end of the day, a lot of us bought a 3 day real estate investing worshop for the amount of C$2,096.85. At that event I saw business people, retired and ordinary citizens. They also sold Tax Lien and Deed program and enhanced web solution program to help us build our website for future real estate investing business. They represented as separate indiviual company as they say. The first one worth $1,200+ and the second one was $197.00 These two were not bad at all. I got the first one reduced to 50%. Anyway my problem is with the Insidersedge. The 3 day worshop was done on May 4th, 5th and 6th of last month. They represented Dean Graziosi and Scott Mcgivillary. The lecture was done by Gerald Martin who claimed as a successful real estate investor. There was Amber Guzman, Damien and 2 other young man and woman who claimed to have been a successful real estate investors. They were all from the U.S. The 1st day was about lectures regarding strategies about investing like fastcash, buying and selling without money down by using strategies and etc.. and talking about his family. The second day was about a little lecturesgagain then trying to call owners of For Sale By Owners houses using the leads that we students brought in as an assignment on the 1st night. The third day, they spent talking to us all invidually regarding the Advanced Platinum Program supposedly worth $43,000.00 but that day they were offering for $25,000. The sounded so legit and promising. Amber offered me all the programs except the 3day Buying Summit to be held in Vegas ( where Scott Mcgivillary will be there) which I refused because I didn't have money to buy property/s in US anyway. She said she will give it to me for $17,000 secretly because she said we had a good conversation. She said don't tell it to anybody. I have no savings to pay for it so I used my visa card. The total amount comprised with the proptrend software in US version and they were gonna send us the canadian version for worth $2000 and $15,000 mentorship package. Oh, another thing is Gerald Martin promised me ( well verbally) that he was going to help me close 2 deals! My package included:
- Boots on the Ground training x 3days where expert fly to our area / one on one mentorship/ 6 months hotline.
- materilas like videos, workbooks and then Quickcash, Cashflow and Seller Financing Strategies Bootcamp which are done on a webinar videos which we need to watch over the internet by logging in using the username and password they provided. They were a crappy powerpoint videos and all about lectures and lectures. For us being new to this, it was hard to grasp and learn everything in a short period of time. They promised us a 0ne 0n one mentorship. I gave it a try anyway although I am working almost fulltime.I had been always on the laptop to listen but I did it on my own pace. I never got any call from a mentor except from Peggy or Julie from PMI regarding discussing to me scheduled dates for gurus/mentor to come to edmonton. Nobody called to ask me how was my learning and what have I done so far. I felt all I did was learning and where are these people that are supposed to mentor us? And, what is this PMI? Where is the insidersedge now. I realized this is not a good program. I knew that the cancellation fee was 3 days after the purchase but I gave it a try because how would I know within three days if I find the program a good one or not. There is a lot to watch and learn and grasp to make up a decision in 3 days after the purchase. Anyway, I realized I had enough and felt I was left alone to improve myself by only using there videos, material and internet webinar access. I called the 18662123896 ext. 5008 to complain and wanted to find out what's going on. Where is the 1 0n 1 help or mentorship? On the next day June 13th, Jason called me back. I said the program was not good and there was no proper system inplaced. I wasn't satisfied and was frustrated. He said I should have called so the mentor could have helped me with my questions. I said I didn't even know what to ask because I had the hardtime learning them because I was doing it all by myself. He emphasized about studing and learning by myself then I can ask question. Well, that is not one on one. He said maybe I am not doing what the videos or materials that I should be doing, or maybe I was being lazy to do it. He said I was not doing anything in action, and that I have not even placed an offer. I said how can I placed an offer when I am not knowledgeable enough and confident to do it. I said this is not we are promised. I asked for a refund and refused it. He said I should give it a try more and go to 3 day Boots on the Ground training on June 23, 24 and 25th because that's where I learn more as he promised. I said I was not still convinced but I will give it more time to try. I asked him where's the canadian version of proptrend which was promised to be sent later to us. Jason said I didn't know about that, I will try to find out. I said I don't need the American version because we want to start investing here in Canada because we live here in Canada. He never got back to me. Peggy called but I was always at work and busy at the hospital. Finally, she left a message regarding my scheduled Boots on the Ground training which will be emailed by Julie. She never talked wanting to know about my progress and what have I learned. It is all about preparation on the 3 day training. I thought she was one of the mentor or expert. On June 21st, I finally realized this is just ripping me off. For $17,000.00 worth of training, this is all I did was studying and no support from them. They expected me to keep studying and I have to call for any question/s? This is not how an individual learns. So I called them in Utah. The next day June 22nd, Jason phoned me back. I request for a refund because I tried but not learning so much because there is no help and asked where the mentorship? I sounded upset and angry of course. He said they can't reimbursed me because I signed-up for this and that there was a 3 day cancellation period, and that they didn't have in contract that we will be called and be followed-up, and that we have to call for any questions. He kept emphasizing that I signed up for mentorship, that I have to go there. I said no. He never listened and considered my request. After so much thought and talked with a friend and sister, I made up my mind late that night to go there at the Boots on the Ground to try it because I paid for it anyway. I went in there at the Crown Plaza Lacomb Chateau in Edmonton, the gurus didn't let me in because it was clear in Jason's email that I cancelled. I wanted to talk to either Peggy or Julie but that person said " they are not here, we are investors and "guru" to give a lecture for PMI, we are not associated with PMI but we give lectures for them, and this is how we make living". He said they are not with PMI. I said " I thought Peggy will be here as well because I thought she is a mentor?" He said we are the mentor. I left and went home. My thing is unless PMI or Jason honored my cancellation and give me reference # , I have the right to change my mind and give it a chance because in the first place I paid for it already! If they stand by on their own product/program, I should have been allowed to go in because I paid for it regardless if I said I wasn't going in. Another thing is, the class was not full. There were 5 people ( 3 individuals and 1 couple) which was shocking to me because last May 6th when we signed-up for the program, I saw more than 15 people. I also talked to one of the students and she wasn't happy with the program. She informed me thateverybody had paid different prices. They even made installment for the others This student told me that she only paid $3800 initially. She cancelled the program at 30 days. After weeks and too much fighting with PMI, she was given an ROA#. It was like return reference#. Another student confessed that she was promised by Gerald Martin to close a deal. After weeks, she was told by him that she needed to bring him a milliion dollar deal. She brought him deal but never helped her still. I wonder what happened to other people especially those retired who have retirement as their asset. I heard that these Insidersedge/PMI had been going across Canada to get people to buy there program.
I hope that I will be helped with my case. Hope that people will read my story to learn from it.
