I phoned another company and was put on endless automatic "choice mail". I pushed 0 to get to a representative and suddenly was told I had won a free Caribbean cruise. A Molly Gordimer the tried to sell me on the wonders of the cruise on the ship Bahama Celebration. She told me that I and my wife would get a state room, all the amenities, etc. But crunch time came when she said I needed to pay to port taxes immediately. Having extensive travel experience, I knew that is not the first thing you pay before you even have any details.
By this time I had also opened the scambook website. I started reading the complaints to the Molly, and then told her that I was not going to pay anything ahead of time. Good Bye. We need to file a complaint with ATA. I am sure some gullible people fall for this,

- It is shameful that call centers like that operated by f=bestcruisegetaway.com prey on people with offers of free Bahama cruises. Of course, they want just the port taxes of $59 right up front to "reserve" your state room. Scam businesses like this need to be reported,be fined and put out of business.
