On October 4, 2012 I transferred funds from my checking account into an account that was suppose to be the account of a property
owner that I was renting a vacation home from. On Monday October 8, 2012 I began receiving emails from the rental agent asking was I sure I was still coming. At no time did I ever say I wasn't coming, but I reassured her anyway. The rental agent again emailed me stating that the full balance was due immediately. I reminded her per our written agreement the balance wasn't due until my arrival. She (Kara Bruster) stated that she had other renters and other stories that had no relevance to me. I again reminded her of our written agreement. She (Kara Bruster) then stated that if I didn't send the additional monies glad to return my deposit of $1,550.00. This situation and the back and forth began to make me very uncomfortable. Because she was so insistent with her request and because I was getting a bad feeling about her, I contacted her for a refund. Ms. Bruster has no stop returning me emails and text messages. I now believe that this was fraud. I have contacted my bank and will proceed with contacting any and all law enforcement agencies to report this indecent.
