We hired Colors N More Painting to paint the interior of our home on 09/10/12. The written proposal that we received from them specified that they would "caulk as needed, repair the ceiling seam, nail pops and wall patches". What we received was a complete slop painting job ! To refer to the work as "amateurish" would actually be an insult to amateur painters everywhere ! The first day, nothing had been covered in the house and dust from their cursory sanding of the ceiling seam repair was everywhere -- all over our furniture, appliances and hardwood floors. When we confronted them about this, they apologized and promised to cover everything when they started painting. Painting started with them starting to paint trim and then, as though they changed their mind half way through, stopped painting trim and started cutting in the walls. Of course, trim paint was getting on the walls but wall paint was also getting on the freshly painted trim, meaning that the trim would need to be repainted again. We also noticed several paint runs and drips and brought this to their attention as well and thought that it would be corrected throughout the job. When they painted the ceiling and walls, paint was getting everywhere -- If these guys had the ability to paint a straight line, they sure didn't show any proof of it here ! Ceiling paint on the walls and wall paint on the ceiling. Trim paint left on the walls and paint splatter everywhere ( floors, furniture, kitchen cabinets and appliances ). Paint runs and drips on just about every surface that they touched and large sections of trim that obviously had been missed while painting. Nothing had been caulked, the "repaired" ceiling seam is "crooked as a dogs hind leg" and the joint tape is visibly lifting in a few places but, they continued painting right over it as is. The nail pops were also ignored, as were the numerous wall patches that needed to be sanded and primed BEFORE painting -- instead, they too were painted over untouched or with the slightest effort to finish them. Basically, they came into our home, slopped some paint around, collected their money and left -- Nothing that they promised in their proposal was delivered as promised and they made a total mess of our house which will cost thousands of dollars to correct, repair and repaint. Our hardwood flooring has been deeply gouged by them and two of our ceiling light fixtures were broken. We allowed Colors N More multiple chances to correct their mistakes and give us the "QUALITY" paint work that they claim on their website is their "FIRST Priority". Each time they "fixed" the issues, they created more of a mess and further showed their indifference or inability to produce professional results. Civil proceedings have since been filed against Colors N More Painting in Caroline County General District Court for Breach of Contract, financial loss and damages and appropriate Consumer Reviews are being posted on each and every review website that I can find.
