OMG I don't know where to begin....I rented an apt in Florence.
The apt was facing a very narrow street where motorcycles went thru night and day. I am no princess and I do not expect to be in total silence but noise was unbearable, so much so me and my husband had to move our mattresses to the bathroom..to be able to sleep. Now, Its the end of summer but temperatures are at around 28 to 30....we could not open the window of our bedroom or the kitchen ( big floor to ceiling windows ) because of the noise and could also not open windows to an inner courtyard because there is a restaurant black stuff comes out of a big pipe and it would even burn the floor.
AIRBNB " we are so sorry your apt was not what you expected"
we stayed a week, but decided our health ( lack of sleep ) was far more important than money, we lost $2,000 rental, and not to mention the hotel bill for the rest of the stay which we had to cut short ( another $250 ranging the tickets )
my message to you AIRBNB DOES NOT CHECK WHERE YOU ARE GOING TO STAY , DOES NOT HELP YOU IN ANY WAY, ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY...you can just forget it. Iam telling everybody my story because I don't want more people going thru what we went thru....forgot to say that there was no Ac not even a fan address 12 VIA DELLA SPADA FIRENZE---STAY WAY
