I don't know who can resolve my problem I’m feeling a little hopeless with my it. Since around the month of May, I had a few calls, then they steadily have increased. Constantly receiving telephone calls all day long and when I answer them the people at the other end say “Did you call my number" I say no I didn't. They say, is your number 708-331-xxxx and I said yes that is my number but I didn't call you. Some folks aren't as understanding about my number calling their house all the time. I called Comcast and explained what was going on and they told me they would need to send me over to their security department and again I explained my issues. The Customer Service person told me that someone has spoofed your number and is using it to make calls where they don't want to be traced to them. I was shocked that Customer Service at Comcast said that there was nothing they could do. Really? He told me I would need to complain to the FCC regarding the spoofing on my telephone number. I did go on the FCC website but for some reason I was confused by their online process and was feeling hopeless that they would be concerned about investigating my claim against the spoofing on my number and find the people who are doing it. I think not. I wonder why Comcast whom I pay a premium to each month for their services. I can't believe that Comcast wouldn't keep records of spoofing happening on their customer’s phone systems and become an advocate for their customers and help resolve it. Bundle up all the problems they get reported from their customers and then take a bundle of information from their customers. I think Comcast would have preference coming to the FCC being a business and holding a stack of complains from their customer. Or even tell me we are working very hard at the SECURITY Department at Comcast by building a better security system that will block any attempt of fraudulent spoofing that is disrupting the lives of their customers. Telling the customer to report the problems to the FCC to whom many people don’t understand how the FCC works. I think Comcast approach is lame and sure could use restructuring. Call 1-800-COMCAST.
