On June 20th-12, I noticed an ACH withdrawal from my checking account in the amount of $30.00. I asked my bank if they could tell me who initiated this draft. They were able to look online and obtain the name and phone number of the company, Pacific Advances.
The check number was one that the company initiated, not one of mine. I called them immediately and asked what this was for. I was told that it was an application fee for an online payday loan. I replied back that this is illegal due to the fact that I was never notified of any application fee when I applied and I want my money refunded immediately. First this stupid woman was trying to give me some gas vouchers in the form of a refund and I insisted that I wanted my checking account credited and I did not want any of her gas vouchers. Well she told me that this would take about 15 days before a refund would be initiated. It is now October 17th. I have spoken to ten different people and the response is always the same: The billing department had a technical issue and the refund could not be processed but will now be and I should check my bank over the next few days.

During this time, I had another draft from another company taken out. However this company did in fact refund my money within a week's time. I also told this to Pacific Advances and that I consider them to be fraudulent and corrupt. They are very composed and did not react to my accusation. I'll give them that. They just continued to reassure me that the refund will be issued. I am trying to find a way to report this to see if anyone can do something about it. We as citizens should have protection from these type of predators. And if we cannot have preventative protection, we should for sure have legal intervention on our behalf. It does not seem right that we should have to have so many complaints before someone intervenes. While I will admit that applying for a payday loan, especially online, is not the smartest thing to do, this does not mean we should be taken advantage of by these "behind the scene" predators.

I only want to add that I do not see anything pertaining to any fee by Scambook and only want to agree to the terms and conditions if there is no fee inposed.
