I received the same email requesting the same Avon products for a photo shoot in my city by mid October. The order totaled $107.93 and a check in the amount of $1980.10 was sent to me from Acord Corp. Supposedly, this was the agency doing their travel and expenses. Another email from Joy Goodlett stated that my payment was sent out by the sponsor but was more than my asking price because they mistakenly sent the traveling fees along with the money for the Avon order. Another request came in from Joy advising me to send the overpayment back to them via Moneygram. This made me very suspicious since the check they submitted did not clear and was returned. My bank said that the check had failed. In the meantime, Joy was insisting that their bank advised them that the check had cleared and for me to follow up with my bank. I did and this check has failed and was not deposited into my account. After looking up Joy Goodlett, I then discovered this scam! I am so upset over this and sent her an email advising her to not contact me ever again and that her scam operation has cost me money that I didn't need spend at this time. This is a lesson learned for me!
