I applied to this company for a personal loan. They told me I was approved for $5,000.00, but I would have to put up a security payment of $887.50. This security payment was security for them, because I have bad credit. They faxed me a copy of a contract on 10/12/12, but I wasn't able to come up with the security payment until 10/18/12. He told me to sign the contract, and fax it back to him, which I did. I then purchased a Greendot Money Pak, as he instructed me, and he stayed on the phone with me during the whole transaction. After receiving the money, he thanked me, and told me that I should be receiving the funds in my bank account on 10/19/12. On the morning of 10/19/12, he called me to tell me I would need an additional $1,000.00 for insurance on the loan. This was after the original contract was signed and sent. I told him I could not do this, and he informed me that I would still be responsible for the loan, which I never received, and he could not refund my security payment. In fact, on the contract, it says that insurance is optional, not required. I checked off the box, which said that I do not want insurance. I feel that because the contract was signed, and legally bound, that he defaulted on the contract.

  • Thank you for posting this today. They have been calling me over and over for the past few weeks and I have ignored their calls. So today when they called they asked me for my date of birth and address. I don't even remember filling anything out with them. I told the guy he should already have the information because he was calling me. He insisted that I give him the information stating that he needed to verify who I was. I told him I would call back but he kept insisting that I give him the information. People run scams like this all the time. Last year my husband was supposed to be approved for a loan through Lincoln Financial in New York. He was supposed to be approved for $30,000. They told him he needed to send 1500.00 which was the first few payments of the loan. I told him not to send it he did it anyway. They had him to Western Union the money to Madrid Spain. They told him the money would be in his account the next day. They called us the next day saying we had to send another $1500.00 for insurance because the loan needed more insurance. My husband refused and they have not refunded him a dime. Come to find out they were not even real. The address was fake and you could view it on yahoo, and you could google the address and the company and it showed up, but turns out the FBI was hot on their trail. We called back a few days later and the number was disconnected. Watch out for scammers!
