Chase bank's fraud dept (USA) notified me at 10:36 pm on 10/25/12 via text and email, that a charge for $1.00 was placed on my debit card at 10:30 pm that evening from a direct marketing company in the United Kingdom. I responded that I did't make the transaction and they called me the next morning and cancelled my card. The $1.00 charge is not the actual amount and it's still pending so I don't have a total yet but when it comes through they assured me it will be removed from my card. Chase has an awesome fraud department.
The Merchant on the posting is ravenmcs.com 877-921-8141. I called them and they said a subscription was charged on the debit card for livestyledealsnow.com. They offered to cancel the order to stop future debits.
I would like to know how this company is getting our banking information. If anyone knows please post a reply. Thanks.

- They just got me for $39.95! I called them (877-921-8141),ravenmcs and they said they would cancel some subscription I NEVER made! I didn't just want it cancelled but a refund. The fellow gave me a song and dance, so I wanted the phone number of this lifestyles place and I would get it from them. He changed his tune,probably because there is no lifestyle place...they charge and THEY keep the money. I have no Idea how they got my account number. They said I'd get my refund in 10 days...we'll see.

- My Credit Union call to confirm the "unusual charge" for the 39.95. payment was stopped and card number is cancelled. Will need to get another card but not a problem. Apparently when I bought coffee filter advertised on tv I received a call offering me some kind of membership discounts. I declined but apparently they processed it anyway. Thanks to the diligance of my CU will not have to try to get my money back. Would like to have the coffee filter but will not do so and will not be buying from tv adds anymore.
