I'm estimating on the date, by the way. It feels like it's been so long now...but it's still worth it to spread the word.

First of all, I'm sorry to say, for myself and others, that we were victims of a scam.
I searched google for help on apple products and everything, absolutely everything, made it seem like it was linked to apple, microsoft, ect. When I called the number, and the 'wise guy' told me what I had, he made it clear that it would cost 199.99. That was fine with me at first since I was so sure APPLE would know what they're talking about. Surely if they give me that one year deal, then I can go to the apple store and get all the help I need. Eventually, after having one of them label my computer as infected and having a virus, I let a guy log into my computer via teamviewer (because logmein123 didn't work). Eventually he went into my disk utilities and did some things that I expected a technician to figure out. I didn't ask his credibility or anything. Whatever, it gets worse. After my wiser computer made it virtually impossible for any of them to actually screw it up even worse with the fake anti-virus, it finally stopped working all together. Great, now I am finally getting wiser myself after finding out that the first guys I spoke to were unprofessional and I've had to call other legitimate companies and they never made me feel so uncomfortable as MyTechHelp did. By now, I had paid for the anti virus (49.99) and the plan (199.99). I am ready to cry and scream, and I finally call Apple. Apple care...well, I was afraid to call and get the same people since MyTechHelp made it seem like they were the same company. In fact, what's sketchier, is that you never talk to people who seem trustworthy. But who can blame me, or all of us, since we were mislead.
Going forth, I finally contact Apple care and I feel like I'm close to tears but the woman who took my call was fantastic and she was so open with me about companies LIKE THIS who SCAM PEOPLE. Everything she mentioned, about people telling you that your computer has a virus when it doesn't, charge you an unreasonable fee, and aren't actually linked to Apple are SCAMS! Oh no, I call my bank company after she tells me all this and even recommends I "deny charge." Ok I tell her, and I rush to do just that. I come to tell the nice people of my bank the truth, and the other lady there is really nice
I experienced the exact problem many of you guys had. My computer, Macbook Pro, was labeled with a 'virus' after a guy went into my computer with the help of logmein123 or teamviewer (I think logmein123 only worked the first time).
Anyways, going forth again.
I finally went to an Apple Retail store since my computer basically didn't turn on AT ALL. There were lots of people there but I got hold of a guy and he plugged things into my computer. After about five minutes, he found out that the REAL PROBLEM was my hardware and battery. But mostly my hardware. In fact, as I remember from having called the nice lady from Apple Care, she told me that from all the apple computers she's known, their problems have always been software, NEVER A VIRUS! Of course, this is costly. Ouch ouch ouch ouch. But at least it's LEGIT. :D
I forgot to add another HUGE obvious problem with MyTechHelp. Before I got fed up with how they were making my computer worse (& before I went to the legit apple store), I actually called and told them the truth: I thought they were running some sort of fraud operation. More like scam, but whatever. I also told them the virus was not able to install because everything shut down. So, then what happened? One of those guys tried to ARGUE with me about how I needed a disc to make my computer turn on. I'm so glad my intuition turned full blast by this point because I said, "DEFINITELY NO!"
I didn't want to be rude to him, after all, he seemed like he wanted to help, but by this point I just KNEW THEY WOULD NOT HELP. By this point I actually had to CONVINCE them to give me MY MONEY BACK. Whoa is all I can say now. How incredible, the audacity some people have in this economy, but then again they are scam artists. I continued into having my full 199.99 refunded as well. After all, they literally made everything go from bad to worse.
I contacted billing info, talked to two woman, which both told me they would refund the anti-virus money (which they did, whoohoo) and the $169 (because they have to take $30 off since I actually "got help" from the technicians, though I didn't actually receive it). So now...
Here's the problem.
I am patient, but not so patient as to dismiss when something wrong is going on. It's been weeks now. I have NOT received $169 in my bank account yet. SO TODAY, though it was Saturday, I again called MyTechHelp. Just the way the guy who talked to me on the phone, it shows they want to literally make it seem like we will NEVER receive a refund. But without saying it.
Here's the other problem. There's something called a lawyer, a court, a judge, and scammers going to prison. Yes, I wouldn't be saying those words unless they didn't exist. Everything has a price. Lying has a price. These people, who seem nice on the outside but in the inside they know they are running a bad operation, are going to have to show up and introduce themselves to the law.
I'm going to try and update back here if my "deny charge" on my bank account on this company doesn't work. But overall, NEVER USE MYTECHHELP. NEVER TRUST ANY NUMBERS ON THE INTERNET. NEVER TRUST YOUR ANXIETY TO FIX A PROBLEM QUICKLY. JUST NEVER DO IT!

From this moment on, I will make it my work to find out what I can, but I am sure more people know already about this. It's actually just easier.
So what will it be MyTechHelp? Do you want to willingly return all these people's money, including mine, or will you want to pay for more damages than can afford?
Your move, Scamm-sorry, MyTechHelp.

P.S. - I had called the real Apple Care twice, and I had not believed the first guy I talked to until I called the second time and the second lady (again from the real apple care) told me more details about the whole scenario ans scam. Thank god...I think I am going to change things if I take them to court. I know I'm not the only one, and I'm ready for action because I know I have people like all of you who would not want MyTechHelp to continue untried in court.
