My AARP Visa card was charged $49.95 in May, but it didn't show up until the June statement. The charge was $49.95. I must have thought it was something I ordered and hadn't received, so I ignored the statement. Repeat this scenario for June and August. Fortunately for me, Chase questioned the repeated charge on August 28 at which time I realized I had been scammed. I think the scam originated earlier in the year, for a diet pill, which I thought I had successfully cancelled. The original scam was for a monthly shipment of diet pills but the new scam is for "earning money on the internet".
