I called what I thought was a apple tech support line. When I called a voice answered the phone saying "thank you for calling tech support for your apple product" after that a rep., whom I thought was a apple rep, led me to believe that he was an official apple rep and told me about how since apple care was for hardware and this new warranty they have is for the software. They told me that they would charge me 99.99 for the software that would cover all my products. I believing that this was an official apple warranty bought the warranty. I was then transferred to the tech support department and the "tech" simply told me to take my computer to an apple store. I was frustrated with the lack of support from this guy so I decided to end the call and call customer service for apple. When I called apple's customer service number, apple had no idea what I was talking about and transferred me to a corporate customer rep who informed me that what I bought was from a 3rd party company who she has had many apple customers be scammed by this. When I called MyTechHelp they told me that since they never said "we are an official apple rep" that I should have asked if they were a REAL apple rep. I told them that when you answer the phone leading people to believe that you are a apple rep that is scamming people. They disagreed with me and said that they were not lying because they didn't claim to be apple. Now I am out 99.99 after I had a stand off with their customer service, (which is horrible). According to the REAL apple, have many customers who call them up thinking they have coverage when they don't. I would like to see this company held accountable for deceiving so many people.
