I have been recieving calls at my place of employment and my cell phone from someone named David and he said he needed to talk to me about a lawsuit. I called the number back and I reached a Mary. She first asked me if I wanted to get arrested. Immediatley my heart sank as I have no criminal record and I work with children.I was frightened and I said I was told to call back regarding a lawsuit. The lady said if I do not payback 525.00, I will be arrested tommorow. I asked what was it for and she replied it was for a payday loan, I failed to pay.Now I remember taking out a small loan and I paid it back the next day in which I was paid. I said you must be mistaken because I can not owe 525.00 on a loan. I said theres no way I have a payday loan for that much because the maximum borrowing limit in California is $255. I said can you pull my file? She said yea hold on. So she put on hold, but somehow I knew she was listening on the other line. So I pretended to be on a landline and say hello I need to talk to my attorney, David Prosecutor. At that point the lady came on the phone and said sorry it took so long to find my account. I said its okay Im reaching my attorney, she said oh its no worries I cant find your account so I said no worries send me the information in the mail. She said its "illegal" to do so. Well I have your number now and so my attorney will contact you. She hung up on me and I tried to call back multiple times and lo and behold no response.
