What I lost was some hope. I have been very poor since the recession and the $1,000 the message said I'd won would've helped tremendously. I don't fall for scams that say "Your winning number could get you...blah, blah", or "Enter contest and win after you buy...". But this message: "Your entry last month has WON! Go to TargetContests.com and enter your winning code 53822 to claim your FREE $1,000 Target gift card within 24 hours. I went to the site immediately to enter my code to see if it was for real. Unfortunately, it was too good to be true. The text message didn't say I had to join a members' club or say I had to do anything to get the gift card but enter my winning code. If this came from Target, as far as I'm concerned they owe me a $1,000 gift cards. It's wrong and false advertising to say you've won a FREE $1,000 gift card and it isn't.
