My story is the same as the others I have read so far. I booked my hotel room for Impereal Palace on Sept. 17, 2012. Along with 2 shows (Illusions & The V Ultimate Variety Show) They took my money that day. I even called a few days later to make sure my reservations were made, they confirmed that they were. On Nov. 29th we went on our trip, for my BIRTHDAY might I add! When we checked in, the lady at the check in desk said our reservation was on hold but they never got paid because the company went bankrupt a month prior! So my shows weren't paid for, my hotel wasn't paid for, and I had a complete melt down because it was my birthday and I had been looking forward to the trip for 2 months!!! Luckily, the hotel was understanding and accomidating and honored the price I had paid, along with The Ultimate Variety Show. However, I paid $100 MORE than I should've for that weekend because I had already PAID for this trip 2 months prior!!! As soon as we got in our room, I called the company and the man said he was only hired to take calls and inform people of the bankruptcy and the case number. No refund was offered, only "follow the case online and see what happens." Luckily, I work for a law firm, but they told me that I will be lucky if I even recieve a few dollars for the settlement that probably wont take place for AT LEAST a year. Basically, we are all S.O.L. I will NEVER book a room through a third-party website again. My advice, join the Total Rewards club, they do discounts on rooms and restraunts. Or through Southwest.
