My wife contacted Air Care Solutions to come out and clean our ducts. We had not used them before, but found a coupon in the Flyer. We were originally scheduled for a Wednesday appointment which would have occurred while I was as work. However, they called us on Tuesday and said that they were in the area, had a cancellation and wanted to do ours right then. Fortunately, I was home sick when they came. Much like the other experiences noted here, they hooked up the machine to only one vent stating that it would clean all of the others.

I immediately started doing some research online and found many complaints against this company and found that only connecting to one vent was NOT the proper way to clean the ducts. I proceeded to show one of the employees that there was not even enough suction to hold up a tissue to any of the other vents, so how could he possibly think it was cleaning all of the ducts.

As soon as the machine was hooked up, the sales pitches started. We were told we had mold and mildew in our ducts and that we would need UV filtering/cleaning and sanitation. We then pointed out that we already have a UV filter. The pitch then changed to sanitation and a special type of washable filter. I was extremely disappointed in the service and let them finish trying to clean the one vent, paid them and let them go.

I was not going to get into an argument about their service and try to fight paying the bill. I just wanted them to leave and accept the fact that I should have done research prior to calling them out. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. I am tempted to put my own ad in the paper warning others about scams like this.
