We bought a dining set at Steinhafels in Milwaukee, WI 1-24-2011 the total price of $973.55 including a total guarantee called GUARDSMAN, which cost us $76. In this guarantee they said it covers any damage in wood, fabric in any way in the products that we bought in any part of the country.
Well, we covered our table with a plastic table cloth and after a few weeks when we removed the plastic table cloth we notice that the (lacquer)painting of the table was sticking on the plastic and the table has peeled off in different places. So we called the guarantee company as we were living in Milwaukee to let them know that we were having this problem. But they took a long time to do all the process so our time to move to Texas came and they sent some one that they called a technician, and he came to clean the table with a clothe and he said he can not do more than that. We call STEINHAFELS and they said it was not there problem, and they didn't want to do anything for us, but refund the Guardsman guarantee. Which would leave us with a defective dining table, and no one to help us. We are still making payments from this dining set and the table is worth around $248 making the whole set incomplete, without the table. At least we would like to have a new table delivered to us or for them to discount the table from our bill. They are sending us back and forth between STEINHAFELS and GUARDSMAN but nobody wants to take the responsibility for the damage and the proper measure to fix our problem.
