I have been talking with a guy using the above email address. This person presented himself as being Thomas J. Purple, Deputy Commander, Task Force White Eagle US Afganistan. This guy provided pictures of Mr. Purple. There is a Thomas J. Purple in Afganistan but it is not this guy. I have been able to verify with the Army that this guy provided is completely false. He is trying to bilk women out of their money. Said that Army was offering upper level soldiers were being given a chance to take a leave but it must be requested by the soldier's wife, finance, etc. and that we would need to provide fees to get him home. Fees turned out to be $1,950 that had to be paid within 72 hours. I was fortunate in that I was able to discover what this guy was up to before any money left my hand.
