I received the same letter that others did telling me I had won 2,997,000 dollars as well. I needed to sign some papers and send 20 for some fee and they would send me a check within 30 days. What a crock of bull. I receive these type of letters all the time, as well as phone calls from people trying the same types of scams. Always claiming that I have won money, but always asking me to send money up front. I am not a senior citizen. I believe they get your name from the internet when you inquire about certain types of things. Anyway people never fall for it. I have reported these scams over and over, to the BBB, FBI, and FTC, but hey it doesn't matter cause they claim they can't catch these people because they move around too much. But at least they won't be samming me out of my money cause now I just toss them. Most of the time these people are foreign speaking, like pakistan or somewhere like that. Always!!
And this company morgan, phelps, & stern, if it is a legitmate company, are probably being used in this scam and actually have nothing to do with the letters going out to people. Just think about how rich they would be if everyone they send these type of letters out sent them $20 bucks.... Not me. Be careful out there!
