I, too, filled out a short survey from a blurb that popped up in the middle of another transaction. It was short and the FREE gift was for filling out survey. Postage and shipping was a small amount and I could try a new face cream. This was in mid November of this year. I received the face cream soon after. Yesterday I received a notice that my order had shipped and I owed 94.95 which would be taken from my credit card. I then called my credit card office to see how to procede. In that process I discovered that I had been charged for the "free gift" at the end of November, $89.95. The credit card person was able to find a number I could call to see if I could get a refund and to close the account. There is no way to close the account on either the notice or the Home Page. When I called the number I spoke with a person with an Indian accent which I found very hard to understand. The best she could do for me was to refund 39.95 but only if the account was still open. I told her I wanted at least the $94.95 back and I wanted the account closed as of immediately. I told her I would be recontacting the credit card co. to start a fraud process. Later in the day I received an email from "noreply.com" saying that 39.95 was being refunded but there was no notice of closure. I replied anyway and the message sent with no notice since that the message was undeliverable. I am pursuing fraud but it may come to nothing and it is an inconvenience to me as my credit card needs to be closed and not reissued for 7 to 10 days.
