I made a one time payment of 1994.00 and then 29.00 a month since January of 2010. I have had to handle all the companies myself and every time I tried to get FIRE to negotiate a better deal I had to deal with the creditor my self. I settled a bill for over 9 thousand and change for three thousand five hundred dollars. I talked to Chase myself and got them to send me a letter of offering the debt reduction in exchange for 3,500.00 plus the 199C IRS form. FIRE did produce an agreement but I did all the work making the arrangements. They did nothing further and CITIBANK took me to court with an attorney I had to go back and forth to the court make answers to the accusations and finally had to counter motion to deny the summary judgement. When the attorney contacted the organization FIRE they offered half of the money owed. I asked FIRE to send me their offer they refused stating I had to go through a docusign company they use. I signed the document but could not get a copy, my son who is a computer person said they have a protective devise not allowing me to print it out. I called and requested a copy, I emailed multiple times, called and spoke to the Document signing company and no one was able to get me a hard copy. Finally I called the attorney to request a copy and they stated that FIRE stated they were not to contact me at all. So now I have to pay without a hard copy of the agreement or go to court.
