On June 15, 2012, my husband and I attended a meeting at the Hyatt Hotel in Newport Beach, CA. We responded to a post card we had received offering us two free airplane tickets within the continental US if we would attend a 90 minute presentation.
The presentation was an offer to join the Sea to Ski Vacation Club. We were promised a deep discount of between 40% to 60% on vacation properties. We were told that our 8 children and their families would have the same benefits. We were promised a personal concierge who would serve us exclusively making suggestions and essentially guiding us through the haize of choices. We just had to tell them where we wanted to go and when, and they would make all the arrangements at the DEEP DISCOUNT. We were also promised a Money Back Guarantee!
When we attempted to use their service, we found that there was NO DISCOUNT! We found the same properties online (just as they did). But Sea to Ski did not offer a discount from what we found.
When we called to ask for our personal concierge, the person on the telephone didn't know what we were talking about.
When we asked about our children, the person on the telephone didn't have them listed. In looking over the paperwork we had signed, we noticed that the number of children (8) had been crossed out and the number (3) had been inserted above our signature.
Their money back guarantee involves a two year waiting period. During that time, we are supposed to use their services. We cannot in good conscience continue this scam for two more years, nor do I think they will honor their commitment for a refund when they have failed to live up to their promised services to date. SEA to SKI VACATIONS is a scam. BEWARE!
