So I logged onto my Chase Bank Account yesterday to find that instead of having $38.00, I instead was $28.00 in the hole. Of course this startled me, as I had not used my debit card since the 30th of December. In my recent activity I found a check for $30.00 made out to Palm Loans. I found this particularly odd as I do not have checks enabled on my bank account. The other $30 I lost was due to the application fee not being paid on time so my bank charged me a thirty dollar late fee. This had me running from my bank to my school like a madman to change my account info. Now I have frozen my account and my money should be refunded by Tuesday. In addition to the scam, the CSR at Palm Loans I spoke to appeared to try and script me, ignoring anything I said other than the answers she needed. After I refused to give my name and requested to talk to a manager, she became very rude with me and finally hung up.
