on 8-26-2011 ask if he could make shoes & clean Gail of the Golden West Doll. He said yes. Ask him how much. He would give no answer. Went back the following week - still no answer. The following week - his wife - told me she could make a skirt and blouse similar to the outfit he was cleaning. I showed her a civil war nurse barbie I was selling and a ken santa claus - brand new and they are vintage - I was losing money and I told them I would sell them to her at a loss - the nurse for $30.00 and the santa cluase for for $65.00 for a $95.00. I have yet to be paid for it. She told me she would make the skirt and shirt for the civil war doll - I saw the skirt but it was not done right and so they took it back. Since then - I purchased 6 pairs of antique booties (which cost me $25.00 for the booties) for him to make duplicates for my doll - he has lost them - he stated he gave them back - the only thing he has given back is the outfit he has clean but has not given me a cost on and the two gun belts he made but did not tell me how much - when I got home - my husband had to redo the holes because they wouldnot work-he didn't do a good job. I ask him many times How much to clean the outfit -NEVER GO AN ANSWER. i WENT BACK TO THE BUSINESS EVERY SATURDAY FROM Saturday 8-26-2011 until the last Monday in December when he told me he would meet me at his store and i waited for him for over 45 minuted from 10:00 am until 10:45 and he never showed up. He called me on Wednesday and laughed and said where was I - I told him I showed up Monday - where was HE????
He and his wife have my merchandise ane have enjoyed it - I have wasted my time and my gas going back and forth getting nothing but excuses from this man - I deserve to be paid for the items that they received. I have wasted over 6 tanks of gas trying to pay for something that they did. ]
He charges his customers $5.00 if they don't pick up their shoes but I have been their every Saturday, tried to call and their has been something wrong with their phones lines - you can't get through. I don't mind paying for a service - but the last thing he told me - was that the cleaning and the two gunbelts would be $95.00. there is no was it cost that much. I deserve to be treated better than that. This man ripped me off and I believe something must be done - I expect a business must run and treat customers with respect - I was treated with respect - He promised me something - he could not do - then he lost my stuff - that is poor business practices-he owes me for my time, my gas - my lost booties - and my two dolls -
No one should have to keep coming back to ask a business for their property - it should not take over a year and a half to complete - if he could not do the job - tell the customer that -
If his wife didn't want the dolls - say Nol
Tell the customer up front what the price of the cleaning is - why delay it over a year????

You lose a customers items - you either replace it or pay the customer for the product.

If a customer comes back every Saturday - you need to reimburse the customer for their time and their gas.

If you tell a customer you can do something - you need to give them a time frame and keep to that time frame

If you purchase something from a customer you need to pay for that item.
