A sales rep from Millennium Sales Inc came to our door today. After being sold the whole "I wanna win $10,000 for college" 9 yards, he was invited into the house and allowed to do his sales pitch.
Quite a nice person, until I had the idea of googling his company.
I was a bit horrified after seeing the number of complaints against the company. I had to pull my mother away from the salesperson to stop her, moments away from filling who-knows-what paperwork.
Once confronted, the salesperson became defensive and, once asked out, he left among insults.

- You did the right thing! I use to work for them and I naively had to witness the lies of the business that willingly allows their workers to make up stories to make these sales. No one ever gets their books or magazines. I had customers donate books to my mom's address because they didn't want the books themselves. And they never came. If that company is still in the area inform the police, advise them to investigate their business. Half those people are convicted felons and the car handlers have suspended licenses. No permits to solicit. Everything they do is illegal. My email is (Personal Information Removed) if you have any questions.

An effort to clean up the industry is in affect and the company is working hard to try and weed out the Fups and just saying do the right thing and join the BBB in the first place the BBB are also shake down artists and you don't know howe they operate , look them up on google ,http://www.nutriforce.com/blog/better-business-bureau-under-fire-after-2020-exposure-reveals-shakedown-tactic
or... http://www.newstribune.com/news/2012/dec/27/lawsuit-alleges-better-business-bureau-mafia-racke/ which is why many companies are going rouge and looking for other routes to class A their status and again it is not common practice for a clearinghouse to just try and purposely screw over their customers but there are those manipulative greedy selfish agents who have no regard to anything or anyone but themselves and so these asre the ones we are working to eliminate so again there are two sides to every story and there are some employees who have been caught orv fired and they are bend on anger and revenge for getting fired or exposed that they are on this crusade or campaign to try and create a smear campaign and bring down the industry but many companies keep a paper trail or THEIR ( the agents ) F ups and so it's easy to expose them or [put them on blast when need be and the clearing house obviously have problems with mailing peoples books or magazines sometimes because in many bcases some agents ( employees ) threw away their receipts ( yellow copies ) and stole their ( THE CUSTOMERS ) money or changed their total costs into deposits or re-wrote other orders to try and win a bonus by messing up the customers order etc so the clearinghouse have to try and trouble shoot sometimes tasking many days week's and even month's to investigate an agents F ups and so many orders are backlogged or are not going threw so again , there's is more to this story than meets the eye and some of these same complainers who worked for companies such as our know the real truth and their rules. -

- also , this industry is like a franchise, once a person moves up they become a manager and can now build and create their own crew and so rather than following the core basics that was designed to successfully guide people through the process some chose to try and change things and run Sh... THEIR way by trying to re-invent the wheel or revolutionize the industry and allow their agents to do all kinds of ungodly things like stay up all hours of the night drink every day smoke weed or take drug , their is no real order and now they are more interested in QUANTITY rather than QUALITY now that's when the problems follow, bad business cancellations complaints the police are involved because the crews are unruly loud disrespectful , fighting etc and they get kicked out of hotels etc . when I grew in the business we didn't have this craziness, don't get me wrong we had our share of problems but very minimal and anytime you have a large crew living and traveling together you are bound to have problems like sport teams music bands university dorms job corp the military etc but this is getting out of hand and it needs to get revamped cleaned and or stopped.

- OMG I worked for this Company about 10-15 years ago when they were Chapel Sales Inc. out on NJ. When your interview they sell you on the fact that you travel across the country doing "marketing" for Top publishers. They never tell you its door to door sales of books and magazines. You stay at trucker type motels and are force to get out and sell in the ghetto and sometimes high class area where they would call the cops. You are given a quota and when you don’t make it you are belittled in the van and made to feel like crap. Next morning in the meeting you berated some more in front of the whole company. They were honest agent out there that tried their best and never made quota but was so sick and tired of made to feel low that they sometimes scam "mr & mrs Jones" just to make quote. I worked there for 3 months. IT seems like most of the agents they hired came from bad situations at home and needed to get out, drug dealers on the run or shocking enough young homeless and runaways. I thought it would be a fun summer job before going back to college but was horrified and only stated 3 months. When I tried to leave my manager Michelle gave me a hard time and said I was going back to be a failure and the people on the outside were also failures and didn’t even know it. To be honest I did feel like I was better than most of the other agents because I was college educated and had a two parent home, in fact I did feel bad for the other agents because this was a way of life and they really had nothing to go home to. Bottom line is, there were scammers in the group and good agents who became scammers because of fear of not making quote. My advice is, just don’t do, it’s not worth trying to decipher who is legit or not. There is not college scholarship, no cash prize, no contest....just a bunch of young people trying to earn a salary.
