There was a posting for a "fully loaded polaris ranger EF 700 with only 1692 miles and 122 hours, no trades....." that I printed out when I was it on Craigs list in the Lawton OK area on 12/18/2012. The e-mail address was for [email protected]. By the grace of God, I kept what I printed out and had it in a file. I didn't answer to it then because it was "too good to be true." I saw the same item again later in the month and again ignored it. I saw it again on 1/12/2013 and printed it out and decided to go ahead and answer the ad. I got the same reply as everyone else - sad divorce, wants to get rid of his prize possession. I sent her my phone and address but happened to mention that my husband was a State Trooper. In the meantime, I found the old add and it listed a different e-mail. i started digging deeper and found the scam listed on this site and others. "She" whoever she is, has now apparently gone underground. The ad has been pulled. I also happened to notice and add for a mini excavator that was in similar format and wonder if it it the same culprit.

- I believe they need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. They are attempitng to take money for an item they have no intent on delivering and have done so in multiple states.

I also responded to this add on Craigslist to Linda Gathings, I ask for a phone number, but her response was that she's too busy, etc. and can't do this deal face to face. The email is the same - [email protected] She or who ever sent me a copy of there photo ID and a copy of the machines Title. The DL is a duplicate, not sure if that matters. Her middle name is (Personal Information Removed)with a birth date of (Personal Information Removed) Could be a stolen ID ? All responses keep insisting I send my Full Name and shipping address in order to continue the transaction through eBay. She/they also said the shipping was already paid for shipping to MN since the last interested buyer didn't get his loan and already paid for the shipping. The first thing weird about this ad was that there was no default email address to reply to. I had to copy the address off the advertisment that was an image for the text and the photos, not your typical Craiglist posting.

- My idenity was stolen and I was told the same story. I have filed a report with west carroll police dept. You can call to verify I have recieved no ones money and I have only lived in Louisiana in the last 5 years. 318-428-2331 ask for Det.Smith Thank you LINDA GATHINGS
