Job offering in detail. Came off of an ODESK job offering for interview of a Bookkeeping job. I had not actually applied to this job, however I went along with it, sometimes it does happen on ODESK that employers reach out to you, instead of other way around. Interviewer email stated to add a specific contact on yahoo messenger, did so, about an hour later person was online, and did an interview with me. The interview was....disjointed...at best. Poor English and grammar skills, very low ability to answer a direct question. Asked about my age several times, and for my complete contact information (full name, address, cell phone, personal phone). They then subsequently sent me an employment letter, which stated I would be paid about $19/hour with $15/hour for training, but with no actual hiring date. They then stated that they would send me money, I was to deposit the money, then withdraw the money from the bank, and pay a third party vendor. This third party vendor (which they state they have been using for years) would provide me with an HP laptop, accounting software, and a myriad of other things. They even mentioned providing me with high speed internet. That last part stuck me as odd again, so I asked them why would they provide internet when I already have 20mb cable? They were really sharp, really rude and flatly stated I was to use their equipment, and never my own. This was yet another long line of red flags for me. However, being hurting for a job, I did fill out the address/naming information (didn't give over my birth date, just the age, and gave that out incorrectly :P), I did send over my signature like an idiot. So, now they have that on file.

Reported the crime to IC3 and do have an ongoing case with them. If you have not yet filed with IC3 you should do so ASAP, retain copies of all contact information with anyone involved here, and let's hope that the government can do something about these people soon.
