a guy called and stated he was from a lawyers office and was named alvin scott. told my husband we barrowed money online and never payed it back could not give me the deposit info but told my husband that if we didnt resolve the matter he would send the sherriff over and resolve it in court. never even heard of american cash advance. if anyone else has phone calls like this please let us know. its really bugging me.

Exact same thing happened to me. Stating three charges brought against me and i could resolve it if i paid 687.36. Had no idea what this illegal attorney was even saying, or who American cash advance was.Scare tactics. My lawyer says to let them talk to him only. Contact your Attorney General and the FTC.gov. Check your credit bureaus as well. Fed goverment is aware of this scam. This happened 2/15/13 to me. They even called my place of employment. Was quite confusing, and they continuously yelled threats when questions were asked. Nor did they answer any of them, vague if anything. Read many complaints on this. All a scam. Can not believe it works for them. Low life terroristic idiots if you ask me!
