My son is in the Hidalgo County Jail, Edinberg, TX.. I was at first able to receive phone calls from him. The service was interrupted when my number was blocked by Global Tel Link. I contacted GTL by internet and was redirected to jailcallservices.com. I was told to set up an account with them that would allow unlimited call for 29.99 per month and a one time activation fee. I did as directed, later to find out that this service only provides and additional number for calls to be forwarded to. Attempts to contact “jailcallservice” have been negative. Web site does not work to call or cancel service.

Contacted GTL on 1/22/23013, their representative stated that it was not their account and that it was an outside company that must have billed me. GTL repeated that they had no involvement in this transaction. GTL did have all my account information and the dates of my calls. GTL did state that they had blocked my service prior for non-activity. I suspect this was done to force this new transaction.
My credit card statement shows billing from: INMATECALLSFORLESS COM 214-6436056 TX. in the amount of $48.87
In tracing back my activity shows that I was redirected from the GTL.net site to http://www.jailcallservices.com.
At this site I entered my information and then received a call to complete the setup. The jailcallservices representative stated that I would be able to receive unlimited calls for the monthly fee of $29.99 and a one time activation fee of $14.95.
The company mis-stated the actual service they provide, only to provide you with a call forwarding number.
I have not been able to receive unlimited calls with no further charge by using this service.
