I received a phone solicitation from the above company for a donation. They asked me for my credit card number, which I declined to provide, and asked them to send me a letter. I received the letter a few days after the call and kept receiving letters and phone calls reminding me of my 'promise' to donate. I had originally agreed to send $40.00, however, after all the phone calls and letters, I felt they were harrassing me for the funds, so I sent them $20.00, half due to the harrassment. Here I thought I would be done with them, however that was not the case. This Charity has continued to harrass me with mail and phone calls. Each time they call, my husband or myself tell them to cease and desist, we are not sending any more money and to stop the harrassment. Then just this Sunday,1/20/13, we received yet another call from them requesting we send the remaining $20.00. The last letter I received indicated on their letter head the "Please make your gift payable to: Children's Cancer Fund of America, Inc". A ' gift ' is a DONATION and I should not have to be harrassed if I choose to send less. I'm sure if I had sent more, they would be calling as much as they do now over $20.00 looking for more. I want all the phone calls and mailings to stop. With all the money they are spending on phone calls and mailings, that money can go towards the $20.00 they think I still owe them.
