I discovered on review of a credit card statement I was looking at to find something for a buusiness expense report, that Classmates-Memory Lane 206-301-5900 WA had billed me $39. I didn't remember authorizing such a thing, and called them to inquire...they said they would cancel but not refund my money. They said I had originally subscribed in 2009, which unfortunately was confirmed by my credit card company, with whom I have filed a dispute claim. Admittedly I am guilty of not having reviewed previous statments; my husband usually pays the bills. Still, they have scammed me out of at least $117 for no service. Who uses classmates when you can be on FB or Linked-in? I thought it was just me, but on searching the net I see I am far from alone. This is a fraud and a scam. And what really concerns me is how they got my credit card info. I am certain I never used it in any direct transaction with classmates.com.
