I was balancing my 90-year-old mother's bank account and discovered this check which was a type-written check to ADFMA for $299.00. I know for certain that my mom did not authorize this withdrawal. She was scammed by another company, namely YR Benefits in May, 2012 with significant coersive technques, claiming to be from her bank and demanding that she tell them all the numbers at the bottom of her check and her address and phone numbers to "verify" her account....even had the male "supervisor" come on line to reassure her it was the bank calling. I learned about this because she called to tell me how upset the bank had made her feel. (Of course, when I called the bank, it was totally untrue) I think YR Benefits sold or otherwise passed on the info to this company, ADF Medical Advisors, who used it to write yet another check on her account. I called the number written on the check, spoke with customer service rep, Richard Jenkins, who supposedly cancelled her "membership" in this "program" which supplies discounts for medical services and prescriptions. Mom is supposed to receive a full refund within 60 days. I have notified the bank in case this does not happen, as I suspect it won't, so they can have time to file a dispute, and restore the money to mom's account. This time I'll be changing her account and telephone numbers to try to avoid this in the future. These bottom-dwelling scammers need to be stopped.
