I have had many spinal rods,fusions,nuts, screws bolts and misc; over a 40 year period-mostly the past eleven years.
A physician kept trying to talk me into having an MRI for several days, each time I said"NO".
he guaranteed me that none of the medal in my body would have an affect on the test. after, constantly being harassed for days,he finally wore me down and I agreed.
At the first attempt, I was shocked like a lightening bolt ran throughout my bottom torso-I screamed and the operator automatically was there stating that he saw it on his screen; and that he wanted to check me for any patches. He found an estrogen patch and removed it.
He assured me to try once again after checking my whole body from any pain patches.
The second time, once again it stuck me like a bolt of energy but this time farther up across my chest-I screamed and the operator was immediately there apologizing, He stated that this has never happened to him before of operating this machine for seven years. He was thoughtful stating that he called the doctor to see if a cat scan was a possibility.He got permission for a cats scan and it was performed successfully.
my hair started falling out by the handfuls, as well as a nose bled. Thereafter, blowing my nose was an experience of bloodiness. Since, my lips are bleeding all the time along with a core-nervousness and shakiness.
I've been home for one week from the hospital whereas, I was kept an extra long time for physical therapy and to try to regain some stability.
