Called for Apple Software Support and somehow got MyTechHelp instead, but they were claiming they were Apple, told me my software warranty for 90 days had passed, but turns out I still have 4 days left. They scammed me out of $99.99 which was going to be charged to my account every 3 months, $59.99 for an antivirus software, which Apple says they would never make anyone pay for antivirus software. And another $89.99 when I tried to argue the lower price. First of all, they claimed the problem with my computer was a virus, but it was definitely not, it was actually a hardware problem. I believe that they tell everyone who calls that it is a virus and go through the exact same process. They transferred me to an "Apple Technician" who then accessed my computer through logmeinrescue and was on my computer "fixing" it. But after I hung up, the problem came back and nothing had changed. The weird part is that when I called back for billing to get a refund, it played a "Dining Dollars" ad, if you press 1 that you'd like it, it brings you to MyTechHelp, and if you press 2 it brings you to the actual Apple Support which was how I found out it was a scam because the Apple guy didn't have any record of me calling or paying for anything. Stay away from MyTechHelp. They are very good at making you believe they are Apple, but they are not! When I searched "apple software support", their number was the first one to pop up so I called it and that's how this whole process started. So make sure you go to the actual Apple Website and find their number there. Make sure you know who you are calling.
