I was trying to sell a fifth wheel on line .when i received an email from a gentleman saying he was on oceanographer and he was interested in the purchase of my camper..We talked for a while and he convinced me that the safest way to do this transaction was through PayPal.I agreed And His second email said he ran ino a problem with the shipper.And that he would add 950.00 on to my pay off balance.If i would send the money to the shipper for him...Like an idiot i agreed .Next day I received an email from "paypal" saying i needed to send the shipper $1500.00 for insurance for the protection of the buyer seller agreement.And once again i did...a day later I got another notice from"paypal"stating in needed to send $1250.00 to the shipper for road worthy and title inspection..At this point a friend came over and was looking at the emails and moused across the address tab in the inbox for these emails and they changed from "service@paypal" to "[email protected]" He told me not to send any more money and to forward the emails to "spoof@paypal" and I did and they answered back telling me they were Phising scams.. I lost money to a sight claiming and looking like PAYPAL...
