In June of 2011 i purchased a policy from Jack Rockwell,(315) 794-4975 an agent with the local Allstate agency. He came to my place of employment and the app was completed there. One of the questions asked was whether or not I had prior conditions etc. I told him I had back surgery in 1997 and asked if this would be a problem and his response was"that is not an issue". He said he meant conditions like cancer. He continued on with the app and asked many questions and then asked me to sign electronically. I looked to Mr. Rockwell for professional guidance and to my detriment he totally misguided me. Unfortunately the following year I had to go out on disability and when I contacted Allstate in regard to benefits I was DENIED because apparently my back was not covered under the policy. Again I specifically asked Mr. Rockwell about this and was assured "it was not an issue". I have since had contact with Allstate underwriting in regard to the denial and they stand by their decision even though I was mislead and basically lied to. Eunice Holmes, Vice President of Underwriting & New Business is handling this and it has become extremely difficult to work with this woman on a professional level. She was even avoiding my phone calls. I understand Allstate has policy procedures however I was blatantly lied to and treated in an extremely unprofessional manner by Ms. Holmes and Mr. Rockwell. If Mr. Rockwell were a dedicated agent he would have not lied to me and I would not have purchased the policy or I maybe would have asked for an alternate policy? Ms. Holmes actually accused me of lying on the policy which I take great offense to. I would like to file a formal complaint against both of these individuals and Allstate for lack of professionalism and dishonesty.

  • I would like the $4800.00 I am entitled to for 6 months of coverage @ $800.00 per month and an apology from both Mr. Rockwell for lying to me and Eunice R. Holmes for saying I lied on my application when it was Mr. Rockwell who actually did the lying.
