This individual calling herself Wendy contacted me as a potential roommate. She was in a hurry because she had a date set to move but didn't have a room yet. I was also in a hurry because I needed help with my rent, so I agreed and she sent me a check through her "financial agent." The check was for more than the required amount, which she said was because the agent had accidentally sent me her flight money as well as the deposit. She asked me to send her the money for the flight, which I did on Friday, 15 February, 2013. When she asked me for more money on Saturday, 16 February, 2013, I became suspicious and started looking into fraud signs. I tried to stop the payment as soon as possible, but it had already been delivered, and the check she wrote me is, of course, fraudulent. She's still asking me for more money and I'm stringing her along for now in the hopes that she'll continue using her email and address and can be caught.
