I saw an ad for a 1 bedroom apartment at 600$ monthly rent on craiglist Toronto-oakville the website link is http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/oak/apa/3623314085.html.I proceeded to contact him through e-mail and one thing led to the other. He was claiming he was in Alabama and needed to rent out his apartment , but that he had the keys and documents with him in Alabama. He then called me by phone and told me the next step was to pay a security deposit right now even though, I was only gonna rent it out in August/2013. After he would receive my 600 $ security deposit he would then proceed to send me the keys and documents. I did a bit of research and called the adress next door to the apartment suposedly for rent, and asked the tenant a few questions concerning the neighbor and he did in fact claim their was somebody living in the apartment next door.And I was told by John Schaaf that nobody was there at the present. So right away it looked like a scam.The adress of the suppose to be for rent apartment is (Personal Information Removed), Canada.
