Doctor Painting offers Living Social coupons to prep and paint a 12x12 room, including woodwork and ceiling for $89. BUYER BEWARE. When the painters (freelancers hired by the company) arrive they tell the homeowner that they need to buy two more vouchers, for cash, on the spot. If you say no, your voucher is non-refundable. If you say yes it costs more than a professional paint job. The painter told me that the company tells them they can add extra charges. (Fine print says they can but no one expects a room that is, say 13 x 13 to cost triple the promised cost. Clearly Doctor Painter pockets their part of the $89 voucher and the guys get the add on fees for doing the job. Unfortunately Living Social doesn't help resolve the situation, which they must know by now is a scam. I have had several great experiences with Living Social but I won't buy from them again.
