I was searching for an apartment in October 2009. Submitted an application which was approved. I paid the required deposit and application fee and was force to sign a lease to secure the apartment until December 2009. 3 weeks prior to moving to execute the lease agreement, I was offered a job out of state which I accepted. I immediately notify Katie at Kitterman wood leasing office that I cannot move into the apartment as I will be moving to Atlanta, Georgia because I finally obtain a full-time job, she stated "ok, return the keys by mail", which I did. We agreed that I would forfeit the application fee and deposit as I cannot move into the apartment because I will be relocating to Georgia in January 2010 and I will not execute the lease. Prior to signing the lease, I advise the rep that if I obtain employment out of state, I will not be able to execute the lease, he stated, "it's would be ok". A few months later I discover a $4833.00 collection account on my credit report that was placed with Hunter Warfield -866-494-3364. Katie was contacted at Kitterman Wood, but she refused to resolve the issue and she hung up the telephone. The collection agency also refused to resolve the issue and the collection account remains on this write credit report as of 2/24/13.
