I bought shoes and clothes on line and without consulting me Next set up a credit account for me. In the past I have always pay by direct debit which is what I want. I paid for stuff I bought and returned what I didn't want and called them 2 times to cancell the credit account. Despite the fact that I already paid for everything Next kept this statement that kept saying I owed them money. Somehow their accounts department cannot count or do their Maths properly and I keep getting erroneous statements about money I don't owe them. It took me about 5 emails and 2 phone calls before someone sensible eventually saw the problem and apologise . This is Next Department store we are talking about. My point is what if customers do not keep tab of what they bought and pay whatever these people quote.
