I replied to an advert on facebook, that didn't actually mention the dead sea company initially. As with everyone else, I sent off for a trial kit at the cost of the postage only.
It arrived in an unmarked box, no invoice, no returns policy, no return address. Surely that alone isn't legal. Naturally I have contacted my bank and cancelled my card. My bank, knew immediately about this, they are getting endless reports.
The facebook advert has now been removed, but the facebook complaints reporting is just a lot of boxes to tick and doesn't allow for this sort of complaint.
I have been emailing the dead sea company over the last week and they have been replying. After one of my stroppy emails they replied......"In the event you dispute the charge with your your bank, we will provide all the above information to them, which could result in consumer fraud investigation towards you and could potentially affect your overall standing with your credit card company (e.g. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, etc.)."
Sounds like bullying tactics to me.
Its all very well us grumbling here. Is anyone able to get our money back?
