I was contacted by a sales representative from Access Travel Network (ATN) about some RCI extra weeks. She kept leaving voice messages. Finally, I called back and the sales associate stated that I had 12 RCI extra vacation getaway weeks available to rent out. She stated that the 12 RCI extra vacation weeks are available to either give to friends and family or that I could rent them out myself. I told the sales associate that I was not interested. However, she convinced me that I need not do anything, that they have a lot of corporate clients that will rent the weeks from me very quickly. She mentioned that they had very few weeks to rent out to their corporate clients that once I allow them to represent me they will get it rented out quickly. All that was required from me was an up-front fee to activate those weeks (about $149 per week for a total of $1788 which I paid with a credit card). I was told that the sales representative would have my unit rented in 90 days, although the guarantee is 180 days. They guaranteed $1260 per week for the unit. I was also given a guarantee that I would have a 180 day turn around of my return money with extra, but I never knew the contract does not reflect the guarantee. I had recently purchased the property, and as I had never owned this type of property, was not aware of the perks. However, she took me to RCI site showing me the extra get away weeks to convince me. I argued with her but foolishly I gave in thinking I would be able to at least get my money back no matter what happens.

Was also contacted by another company claiming to be ATN asking for closing costs but found out from first ATN company that these are not needed.
