james Hook listed an ad on craigslist Re: Candy Maltese baby pups wanting a good home to grow up!!! (houston)that he was looking to find a home for some puppies. interested reply via email.i replied with my interest. he sent photos of the puppies. he asked me to answer a few questions which were all closed ended/if i had kids, had i had a simalar pet, if i were married, our professions. i answered. he replied saying that he thought we would be perfect to provide a loving home. he said he would complete ownership transfer paperwork and deliver puppy to transportation company that would contact me for payment. The continentalairpetcargo contacted me with the information i had provided james hook. they gave a crate nbr, they said they had puppy, his vet info, ownership paperwork, a book and a crate. i just needed to go to western union make the payment not say it was to a business and call them back. they called every 15-20mins until it was done. I looked them up and found out about the scam and how it worked. by that time it was too late. I called them at 8am when the dog did not show up, (which i knew was not)they said I needed to pay an additional $400 for a vaccine the dog needed and a special crate and that the $400 would be refunded once i receive the dog. after i explained that i knew what was going on and how I was determined to get the word out they stopped calling and texting me about going to send the $400. They have ads in many for sell papers across the united states. their story is slighlty different. but the process they want you to follow is the same. they want you to say you are wiring money to a relative. the western union i went to never even asked.GET YOUR PET LOCALLY!!!
