When browsing on google for an Xbox live 12 month membership that I could redeem instantly I came across the website ‘Instagamepoints.com’ on the second page of results. I browsed the deals and the website looked legitimate and decided to purchase from them. When buying I received log in details and confirmation emails of my account then I continued to pay using ‘verified by visa’ believing that I was making a safe trustworthy transaction. An hour passed and I was confused as to why I hadn’t received my code via email as the ‘company’ promised that most codes are received within 30 seconds of payment. After a day had passed I tried to contact the company and the only way to get in touch to report a problem was through a useless ticket service where you write your complaint and are supposed to receive a ticket number to track your order, surprise surprise I didn’t receive a ticket number so I couldn’t track my question to them. I then decided to do some research into the company and found that many other people had fallen into their trap, paying instagamepoints.com their money and not receiving the goods. Now I have to go through a lengthy process to try and claim back my money.
