I, like millions of others, received a piece of mail saying I was "confirmed by a Data Audit for Receipt of a Check...this Guaranteed Payment has been registered... All I had to do was send $20 before the deadline of 3/14 and I would receive a check for $2,997,500.00 in 30 days. Today, I received another mailing asking for my signature and another $20.
I'm wondering how many people who are grievously poor in this country see this as a blessing and fork over $20. I did. I put cash in the envelope so they didn't have to mess around with my back account.
When I got the 2nd mailing today I started looking for this company and found that zillions of other people have the same lousy mailings and the company appears to be making good money $20 at a time. What absolute frauds they are and I'm so happy I didn't do this again.
