My 2001 Ford Ranger was towed by Salt Lake Towing after a accident I was involved in on 2/23/2013 on U111.

While there they entered my vechile & removed items out of it. My vehicle was taken to N. Salt Lake at the request of my insurance company where the driver who retrieved it from there witnessed a individual removing these items. He then contacted his employer to report it. It wasn't until I was able to retrieve my belonging's from my truck on 2/13/2013 after my insurance had demmed it totaled, that I realized some of my belongings were missing when I had the chance to look through them. I contacted the place where i picked them up & they said they don't remove items but remembered the driver contacting them on 2/27/2013 about seeing someone in my truck taking things out.
When I contacted Salt Lake Towing they stated they had done it for my safety. My response was if it was for my safety why hadn't I been notified by them at the time, I was then very rudely told I could come get them.After I contacted my insurance they called and ask that the items be shipped. The Salt Lake Towing Company said they couldn't because they didn't know which items were mine.I then went Salt Lake Towing on 2/21/2013 escorted by a West Jordan,UT.police officer to retrieve these items.He later stated to me they aren't a very honest business, like this wasn't the 1st time. It's my personal opinon if I wouldn't of realized the belongings were missing they would of kept them. Not only are they taking advantage of people at a bad time but they're also being dishonest I wonder how many people they have took things from & it wasn't ever realized! Really how many people itemize what is in there vehicles.
