This was a secret shoppers scam. I answered an email and thought I was taking the right precautions when I check with the bank to see if the cashiers check was good. They said it was. So I proceeded.
Was sent a form after answering an email and it was for a secret shoppers job. It told me to cash the 980.00 money order, Keep 120.00 for myself and then send the rest of the money back Western Union to him. Then report back to an email address and send reciept along with report. I did this.
I was sceptical so I checked with my bank and told them of my concerns. They told me the money order was good. So I proceeded with the job. Then 4 days later they took the money out of my account saying it was no good. Arguing with the bank now.
Also I did not have the name on the western union transaction right so the guy texted me and I then called up western union and corrected it. So I do have a phone # to chase down as well.
